There seems to be a bit of a brouhaha brewing over here about how designers – or anyone for that matter – can offer help to those that need it in Christchurch.
Opting for actions over words, bka interactive has devised a practical way for businesses who need help in Christchurch to get it, and businesses who can offer help to do so. It's a nice idea, and there are only a few simple rules, the most important obviously being that the site is not to be used to sell products or promote services.
As the site – nzbizhelp.co.nz – says, all offers of support must be free of charge and any promotional listings will be removed. Also, this is a business for business site, so those requesting assistance must be businesses. If you have personal requirements, there are appropriate services available, including the Civil Defence.
