The online T-shirt market is a pretty competitive place, so it pays to have a point of difference. Stephen Richardson, onetime contributor to last year's ProDesign/Hallensteins T-shirt initiative, seems to be carving himself an online niche.
Richardson (or Richard… son) has launched a new online project called Parinto. What sets Parinto aside from the rest seems to be Richardson's ability to tempt some well-known national and international names from the worlds of art and design into his stable, people such as Max Gimblett, Madrid-based illustrator Blanca Gomez, Tank Girl comic legends Alan Martin and Rufus Dayglo, original Memphis design group member Nahalie du Pasquier, fashion stylist and blogger Adam Bryce and local favourites Cut Collective. Richardson says that the website is more than a place to buy T-shirts, it's a "destination where devotees can keep up with their favourite contributors through the news blog and links to contributor's sites". Expect a constantly evolving roster of designs.
